Starboard Tack has been part of the Las Vegas story since 1972, when it was founded by Bob Kostelecky. For decades, it was the go-to bar for off-duty casino workers, musicians, and locals who knew where to find the best drinks and stories in town.
After years of being a quiet legend, the bar was lovingly revived in 2017 by bartenders Bryant Jane and Lyle Cervenka. They restored its nautical 1970s charm while introducing an award-winning cocktail program, an eclectic food menu, and a curated rum collection that pays homage to the golden age of Las Vegas hospitality.
Today, Starboard Tack continues that legacy as one of the best off-Strip bars in Las Vegas — offering a mix of video poker, elevated bar food, and craft cocktails that celebrate both history and innovation.
